Social media and school bullying As we’ve seen in the news lately, bullying at school and in college is getting more dangerous so to speak because of social media. This is why it’s important to teach our kids how to use social media carefully and effectively. It’s a powerful tool that I use with my clients in the career arena but as we’ve seen in recent news reports about bullying, it’s a powerful and sometimes dangerous tool when used in the wrong way personally. For parents reading this take the time to teach your kids about how to use social media and be careful with it. Help them understand that while it can be a useful and fun way to stay in touch with your friends, it is a tool that needs to be used with care just like anything else.
